With the holiday’s quickly approaching… it’s been brought to my attention that I need to sprinkle more Wishlist ideas on my blog.
Let’s start with getting me Seasons 1, 2 & 3 of Community on DVD!

With the holiday’s quickly approaching… it’s been brought to my attention that I need to sprinkle more Wishlist ideas on my blog.
Let’s start with getting me Seasons 1, 2 & 3 of Community on DVD!
Participated in my first ever (well properly played) Dungeons and Dragons game… I received an invite to join a game that my friend Clayton was hosting (DMing?) a few months ago and after many weeks/months we met up on the northwest side of town and I introduced my character “Percival” to the group.
My guy was drawn up before my arrival. I’m a barbarian of some kind… origins - Lodi, New Jersey. According to my character sheet, I’m both strong and smart.
My fellow characters: Helvetica (A girl of some kind that from what I could gather is mischievous) and Reamus (A demon like thingy with priest like powers).
Our mission… to take a Hell-spawn infant out of a city we’ve captured. Like Hellboy (the comic) the child can bring the world to the end, but if he’s raised correctly he can do tremendous good.
In short… we managed to get out of the city, thanks to a set of sewers. We fought a : Siege of Rats, Dire Rat, Giant Rat, Little Orc (who we skinned and turned into stuffed animal for the Hell-Spawn infant) and Ranger Orc. I asked about taking his cod piece but Clay suggested I not take it as a trophy….
Anyhoo… we managed to escape the city and get the Hell-spawn baby to a witch called “Ewana”. The game concluded and there’s talk of possibly getting together once again in about a month.
Hope to attend again.
As Friday’s go… today was pretty eventful. Started my evening out by catching a few bands at the Korova (Cheap Girls/The Front Bottoms) in downtown San Antonio, then proceeded to drive up to the State Capital (Austin) to catch Braid perform at Fun, Fun, Fun Fest.
I didn’t have wristbands to see the show, but worked my charm and arranged to pay at the door to get in. Total cost to see the only act I was really interested in catching : $10 bucks.
Made sure to also wear my Punk Planet t-shirt too. I’ve seen Braid in this shirt more times than I care to remember now… I also got to catch up with Bob Nana and Chris Broach after their set. Got in freakishly late tho.
Took advantage of early voting in Texas today… turnout was surprisingly strong for a Thursday evening. I ended up having to wait nearly 50 minutes and I also had to park in a field near the City Hall.
I wasn’t put off by any of this… I’m actually pretty enthused by the turnout.
Gonna give it another shot… this year however, I plan to write a short story and not a novel. We’ll see how it goes tho’.

Let me first wish everyone a happy halloween. I didn’t really do anything in observation of All Hallows Evening, but I did spend a little time figuring out how I was going to spend time every day in the month of November to participate in NaNoWriMo.
That and I spent some time playing with my new iPhone.
So the office decided to do something a little different today… in observation of Halloween, we threw together a little Politically Correct, Day of Fright - the day before Halloween.
Full blown costumes are not encouraged, but T-Shirts/Hats were ok for today.
I decided to go with this t-shirt…
Made only one purchase at Comic Con yesterday and I’m putting it to good use this evening… Crown and Coke are making the news coverage a little more bearable.
I hope all my friends out East do ok over the next couple of days.
Attended my first WIZARD Comic Con today! All this means is that San Diego (the Con) is the only Comic Con left for me to attend and I’ll probably be done with Comic Conventions all together.
I think I’m photographed next to a guy from Gears of War…
The Rally had its closing festivities tonight… I can’t begin to stress how much work went into this fucking thing. I can be seen in the background having a genuine laugh, awarding Rally Asshole (and Fleshlight) to a rally attendee.
Good times.
