A sample of what one might get to hear, when catching Cafe Tacvba live…
Cafe TaCuba in San Antonio →
One of my favorite Rock En Espaniol acts will be performing in Downtown San Antonio on Wednesday…
I haven’t seen Cafe TaCvba play live in quite some time but I highly encourage those who haven’t to do so. Ticket prices are a little steep ($43 bucks) and it looks like they’re playing some stuff from a new album I’m not all that familiar with.
This week is filled with birthdays and other commitments, so I won’t be able to attend.
What I love most about my dad is that he can complain about wanting to see the local news weather forecast for nearly 2 hours and when it does air, he opts to leave the living room to get a late night snack…
Without fail, I capped a 2 hour meal and half hour drive by getting my mom to get completely unhinged when I took a number of photos of my sister (6 months preggers), Chivo (big hungry) and my mom trying to squeeze into the back of my car.
Monster-Con
Learned about Monster-Con yesterday and I can’t believe I’m possibly more excited about this than my own scooter rally, which follows a few weeks after.
Sad… but true.
Anyhoo… Admission is free and there’s movie monsters so you should come out and check it out with me.

Craiglist Joe - a movie I plan to catch this fall
After putting it off for four consecutive years, I finally attended my first ever San-Japan today.
I can’t stress how much fun I had today. It was like taking the best comic con I’ve ever attended and then being overwhelmed with sights and sounds of things I’ve never been around before.
The first 2 hours I spent, just looking at toys and weird stuff I can’t even begin to describe.
For example, the SS Nazi hat I found in teal.
I desperately want to see what the after parties are like.
The work week is finally over and I just took Elliot to the park… the last thing I want to do is make dinner so I’ve stopped by Charlie’s subs for a quick bite to eat.
I haven’t been to a Charlie’s since working over at Ft. Sam Houston…
Just learned that my local dog park has installed lights for the fall months! This is a big relief for me because I enjoy taking Elliot to places where I can leave him off his leash and because of how late I get out of work, this will allow us to enjoy the park in the months when the sun seems to go down at 6pm.
