Thanks to twitter, I find myself going out of my way to watch award show live so that I can participate with all my catty friends in exchanging online barbs.
Looking forward to an actual application that allows me to read and participate with tweets on my TV…
I’m not really sure why I watched this movie… but I’m pretty sure that it has a lot to do with my enjoyment of seeing Depp channel Keith Richards as a Pirate.
The film for the most part is a total money grab. I found myself losing interest a couple of times and reaching for the laptop to surf the net. At some point of the movie there’s a group of Vampire Mermaids tho’.
Stay away at all costs…
Movie 13/365
My old college suite mate (Matt) was in San Antonio last night… He and his lovely girlfriend were staying over at Nano’s. I had many a beer with him and played a few drunken boardgames too.
Good times.
Went out for a game of darts last night with Henry and Chivo… schooled them with such aplomb, I should have charged tuition.

Just behind ‘Bank Heist’ movies, ‘Election’ movies have always been a favorite genre of mine.
I’m not quite sure why this movie didn’t catch on with friends of mine who enjoy movies like this.
The title is great and as expected - Cesar gets the fuck stabbed out of him.
Even the poster is incredible.
It’s hard to go into any depth on this film without giving anything away. Ryan Gosling does a good bit of the heavy lifting and he’s really good in it.
Phillip S. Hoffman is also very enjoyable in this… he sorta takes on the roll of a Think Tank monster.
Clooney’s roll is an interesting one… he’s sorta in the backdrop but they took some interesting decisions with character (as in moral compass) and that’s why I think this movie is great.
Highly recommend this to all my left leaning friends.
Movie 12/365
Uploaded a track from RE earlier this evening… After listening to it from beginning to end over dinner, it made me truly appreciate how incredible this album is to this day.
It’s amazing how a record can transport you to another time and place… listening to this album has brought back a number of warm memories from Summers I spent in Mexico City.

Got word this afternoon that my Grandmother is slowly recovering from a stroke she endured earlier in the week. She’s in intensive care and my mom is at her bedside…
This is all occurring in a small room in one of the biggest cities in the world… Mexico City.
Regrettably, it’s been a very long time since I last saw my grandmother. I think it’s been longer than 10 years but I could be wrong.
This song from Cafe Tacvba has always reminded me of my grandmother…
