Spent a lot of time today thinking about my mom who was traveling by car to Mexico City, to visit our Grandmother who has been hospitalized for a variety of reasons.

Flights were completely filled yesterday so she opted to drive down with my Uncle so that she could be there in the event her condition worsens.

With the escalated violence in Mexico, it was very hard to get any sleep last night when you’re worried about something happening on a 14 hour drive from South Texas to Mexico City.

My mom arrived safely… albeit nearly 20 hours after leaving our house in San Benito.

Took the day off so that I could spaz out privately at home…  my cat Amos was kind enough to ground me back to earth all afternoon by demanding attention whenever I was in deep thought.
