Did something today that put me a little bit outside of my “comfort” zone… Got a text from my boss to join him and some other co-workers for drinks at a Tobacco bar by the office.

I very rarely go out of my way to extend work relationships out of the office… but I was in need of a drink and a little curious about who might be tipping a few back on a Tuesday.

To my delight, the bar was filled with people I genuinely like so making small talk was pretty easy.

Drinks consisted of: 1 Payday shot and  2 SoCo’s & Cokes

The drinks allowed me to loosen up and tell a few inappropriate jokes about blowies & size queens.  I even participated in a few rounds of Bar BINGO.

I don’t know why I don’t drink during the week with more regularity…  I feel like I’ve accomplished a little more today than usual.

When I look back on my formative pop-culture consumption years, I have a very soft spot for seeing shows on syndication. One show that was locally on syndication in the mid 80s was show called “Cheers”. A sitcom that wasn’t like an
