December has arrived and it’s already become too eventful.

At 4:00am this morning, I received a call from the Bro-Lo, telling me that my sister is in the Emergency Room, OK and about to get word on needing surgery for gallstones.

The same gallstones that caused my family a number of headaches before Hobbes arrived and the same fucking gallstones my sister opted to not take out minutes after delivering Hobbes.

A few hours pass…  I call my mom (who is at my sister’s house) to see if she’s ok.  Much to my surprise, she’s there with Hobbes.   I presumed they (Sister and Bro-Lo) would take the baby with them…  but after thinking about it for a little bit, it makes sense to not expose a kid to an emergency room.

So my mom tells me that she’s concerned about how much milk the kid has left.  I immediately leap out of bed - grab my dad/dog and head over to my sister to help my mom who also has to walk my sisters dog at some point.

I’ve spent most of the day learning about baby formula, car seats and really how newborns react.

My mom has my sister’s cellphone and the bro-lo’s cellphone is out of battery.  We have no idea when she’s getting out so I’m going to head over to Metro in a little bit to get a status update…
