A few years ago, when I was still working at AlaMark Technologies - I agreed to take part in my first (and last come to think of it) “secret santa” at work with my fellow employees.

Everyone was asked to write down suggestions for gifts in the event you had to shop for someone you didn’t know very well.

My suggestion was an easy one.  ”Get me a book, movie or album you think I should read, watch, hear and ultimately have in my collection of stuff”.

I had a co-worker get me a book called “Spaceman Blues” and I set it on my shelf and never really cracked it open.  I’ve decided to make it the first book I read in 2012
