I received word of B.B. King's passing while out on the Atlantic... news of his passing didn't surprise me. I heard that he had complications in Hospital care the previous week, so I anticipated word of his passing to come sooner than later.

Steve Hyden wrote up a wonderful piece at Grantland that I recommend you read.
