San Juan Basilica Weekly visits to the San Juan Basilica were staple activity in the Agado household. While visiting the Rio Grande Valley, I wanted to squeeze in a visit with Rhiannon because its something she genuinely enjoys.I used to spend a lot of time as a kid running around the grounds of the Basilica... I sorta remembered it being larger than it truly was.One of the best parts of the visits was hearing my dad talk about how he witnessed the plan hit the original shrine in 1970.
La VirgenOne of the surviving pieces of the 1970 fire was the Virgen, seen in this picture I took before lighting a candle with Rhiannon.
