Sub Pop Store FrontWhen I read that Sub Pop records had a pop-up-shop at the airport, I forced myself to set my expectations really low... I figured (at best) that it would be the size of a Hudson News shop and they would probably only peddle a couple of things I wouldn't be interested in. Specifically, Nirvana 'NEVERMIND' pressings and Sub Pop - Loser t-shirts.I was completely taken aback by how good this little store front is in person! It filled with wares, records, keepsakes and books. I had to force myself to not buy the Sleater-Kinney box set today
Sub Pop GoodesGoodies everywhere. I spent roughly 30 minutes going through everything... and picked out a number of unusual things to keep at home.
Viva La VinylIt's truly rare for a record label to have so many offerings on vinyl that make you want to hand over your wallet the moment you walk inside.... Matador records needs to step up their game and open up a shop in JFK.
All hands on the bad oneSo much Sleater-Kinney up for grabs!!!! Not pictured here, was the box set they just released this week. I plan to post that and other thoughts on the blog when I get home.
