Are you experienced?My interest in visiting Hendrix's gravesite can be traced back to the movie SINGLES, when Cliff (Matt Dillon) was seen laying down next to Jimi's headstone. Much to my surprise, the headstone is now a proper memorial.
Jimi Hendrix MemorialI was greeted by this beautiful monument upon my arrival... I don't know when it was revamped by the family, but its beautiful.
Love of LifeThis was my favorite of the three Hendrix etchings. Not shown in any of the pictures is a center stone that has a hole in it. I believe its to leave flower arrangements. It had a number of things that people left as private offerings.
Excuse me while I kiss...Took this photo to showcase the number of kisses on all the stones. The picture doesn't do it justice. I was shocked by how many people pressed their lips upon the stones. The only thing I found upsetting about my visit, was someone's insistence to add a jewel to Jimmy's face. A small stone can also be seen on the star above his head.
