I don’t have an iMac just yet, but I’m in the process of getting my home office together. When I do, this is going to be a must.

The recent signs of Spring, make me only think about how hot it’s going to be around here in about a month…

I didn’t get much sleep last night. We had a thunderstorm rip thru my city around 1am, when I expected it to roll into town at 4am.
Elliot wouldn’t stop shaking and I had to make some last minute changes to a flight I purchased for my mom, so I was on the phone (on hold) with Orbitz till midnight.
Diet Coke got me thru the day…
The City of Live Oak (where I reside) is under a Tornado Watch alert… the pets seem to be in a stir and I’m playing my guitar along to some Replacement songs on the turntable.
Paul Westerberg has assured me that Tornado’s ain’t nothin’ but Waitresses In the Sky.
Tracking Amos’s affection is incredibly tricky to predict. There’s some day’s that go by where I have to actively seek him out around the house just to make sure he didn’t sneak out without me knowing. Some days I can’t seem to keep him off of me.
In this photo I just confirmed that he’s also a drooler.
Admittedly, St. Patrick’s Day festivities are pretty shitty in San Antonio. We don’t really have any good Irish bars in the area, but I did find a place yesterday that I wouldn’t mind going back to by the name of Kennedy’s House Pub.
Flatstock, as always, was incredible. I picked up a few pieces for my collection and I also got to meet and reacquaint myself with some of the best artists in screen printing.
I got a chance to talk to Kevin Tong here for a little while and he was both charitable with his time and he was kind enough to help re-organize my tube of goodies.
When this movie was in theaters, last year I couldn’t convince anyone in San Antonio to see it with me… The film didn’t get a lot of push and I later learned that was sorta intentional. There was some hope that the film would get some grassroots buzz and then ride a wave of support into award season.
It got totally looked over and I hope it finds some legs now that its out on DVD.
The film was directed by the guy who did “Up in the Air” and the film was penned by Diablo Cody (Juno)…
The film centers around a drunk, bitter and emotional vacant girl (Charlize Theron) who has a lot going for her on the outside. She gets a blanket email one day that informs her that her an old flame is now a father to a beautiful girl.
She decides to go back to the town of Mercury, Minnesota to get her former flame back - his marriage and child be damned.
The film sorta then hangs in the air of that terrible plot and does so by sorta celebrating getting very wasted. I mean, one could argue that there are a lot of bad decisions that come out of drinking in the movie - but some of the worst actions, thoughts, comments and intentions are actually voiced when sober.
I saw a little of my former drunken self in the movie… my married friends must hate me inside.
Movie 46/365

Saw this movie a few weeks ago and then again over the past weekend with Chivo, when it occurred to me that I hadn’t added it to the list of movies I’ve seen this year.
Great movie title aside, the movie is one of the funniest comedies I’ve seen in a while.
The movie sorta reminded me a little bit of some friends I had in College, when I would party with a small group of friends that I thought I would always party with for the rest of my lives.
Then after one summer… it all ended. With the exception that we didn’t party at a lake house and our last party didn’t end in an orgy.
I think everyone however slept with everyone else within the group of friends tho’.
Anyhoo, seek it out.
Movie 45/365

Whose kidding who? There’s only one thing I’m looking forward to this weekend.
