12" of Love / Deep Cut : "Getaway" by KISS

Weekend mornings usually start with a quick morning walk with Elliot and then selecting a record to play throughout the apartment while I figure out what I’m going to make for breakfast.

I’m pretty sure that temperatures were in the high 80’s by 8 AM this morning so I decided to pull out my copy of Dressed to Kill by KISS.

Here’s a deep cut off one of my favorite child hood albums.

For the amusement of Amos

I know precious fuck all about cats, but I know how to excite my little Amos…  Picked it up at Target on a clearance shelf for 15 bucks.

Judging by how much he loves to play on it, I can safely say that it was well worth it.

The Decorator

While unloading some photos from my phone to my computer this afternoon I realized that I haven’t had a chance to post thoughts on a play I attended last week at the Overtime Theater called “the Decorator”.

Thoughts :  All in all, the play “O.K.”…   the Overtime Theater is a wonderful space and its hard to not like something you catch there.  Atop that, I got word that my friend Henry was friends with the director of the play so I went in knowing that I had to be in the tank for the production.

I think I would have liked it more if the dialogue was a little more adventurous.  It didn’t seem to go dark or comedic enough for me.

The play will be put on for one more weekend so be sure to check it out if at all interested.

Yarn everything in sight

While visiting the CIA over the weekend with my mom, I saw a pair of artists who took some time Saturday morning to outfit some exposed pipes over at the Pearl Brewery.

I recently saw another artist do something similar to some trees in the dead of winter outside of Chicago.

I was overwhelmed with the need to reach out and run my fingers over it for some reason…

It’s amazing how outfitting metal with a little yard can disarm the industrial sight scape.
